Let's begin...

I bought the fabric today!!  I'm so excited!!  24 blankets worth and 26 bags worth (someone is making me 2 blankets).

So I should have 26 blankets to bring to the hospital.  I'm so grateful for all the support.

I was actually feeling a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of sewing these bags and blankets.

Then I had a few friends offered to help.

It's amazing how much it helps to know that others are there willing to lend a hand.

It would not be possible for me to afford to make this many blankets myself.  So thank you from the bottom of my heart!

If you are curious what the blankets will look like:

 Girl blankets:  hot pink and white striped minky with white cable minky on the back.

 Boy blankets:  brown and baby blue striped minky with baby blue minky on the back.

I'm so excited!

The bags will be a simple bag that I found here.  The straps will be a gray background with a mute aqua polka dot (it looks a lot like the picture)

I'm getting labels printed to be sewn onto the bags and maybe the blankets that say:  Declan's Blankets.

I hope it comes together the way I envisioned it.  :)
